A total of 369 enterprises and 122 projects were selected.
Five companies from the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area (BDA), including Beijing StarTimes Media Co., Ltd., China National Acrobatic Troupe Co., Ltd., Beijing StarTimes Software Technology Co., Ltd., Beijing GoChinaTV Cultural Development Co., Ltd., Beijing Hualian Printing Co., Ltd., five Beijing Economic Development Zone enterprises and the project of the "Digital Media Network of Overseas Public Space", successfully made the list.
"Let the Chinese story spread across Africa, and let the fires of Chinese culture ignite overseas." Star Times, an important cultural enterprise in the BDA, opens a window for Africa to understand China.
It has registered and established companies in almost 40 countries, including Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and Rwanda, from which to conduct digital TV operations and become one of the fastest growing and most influential digital TV operators on the African continent.
Meanwhile, GoChinaTV brought Chinese movies to Europe and the United States through broadcasting on online TV.
Walking into a Chinese restaurant, enjoying Chinese food, and watching Chinese programs have become channels by which many Europeans and Americans can hear Chinese stories and understand Chinese customs.
As a representative of China's high-end performing arts, China National Acrobatic Troupe Co., Ltd. has visited almost 134 countries and regions.
Over the last ten years, the total number of performances at home and abroad has reached more than 15,000, reaching a total of audience of more than 26 million.
Before the establishment of Beijing Hualian Printing Co., Ltd., there were only a handful of printing companies in Beijing that could accept overseas orders.
Since 2002, the overseas business independently developed by Hualian Printing has a cumulative export value of more than $60 million. In 2011, it won the national press and publishing "going global" unit award.
Between January and June, 2021, there were 65 cultural industry institutions above designated size in the BDA, with a total income of 16.49 billion yuan ($2.54 billion), an increase of 46.4 percent when compared to the same period last year.
