Innovation service coupons support SMEs
Up to now, the two batches of technology innovation service coupons in the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area (BDA) have all been redeemed.
A total of 93 companies applied for three million yuan's worth of innovation coupons to directly leverage 30 million yuan ($4.62 million) in technical service transactions.
Acotec is a medical device company with innovative therapies in the field of vascular therapy.
This year, with the help of various departments in the BDA, its production line has been expanded.
Since its development and launch of China's first peripheral Drug-coated Balloons (DCB) product in 2016, Acotec has taken the lead in China's peripheral DCB market, with a market share of approximately 86.9 percent.
"Our products need to undergo precise GRGT testing and accelerated experiments. With our own resources, we cannot complete these test tasks in a short time period. But with the support of these platforms, we can better focus on research and development." Wang Han from Acotec remarked.
In recent years, the BDA has successively identified 14 pilot test bases and 59 public technical service platforms, essentially forming a service system that supports regional enterprise technological innovation.
Since the beginning of 2021, in a bid to further reduce the innovation costs of SMEs, the BDA has launched the "BDA Science and Technology Innovation Service Voucher".
Each innovation service voucher has a face value of 10,000 yuan, with the maximum amount that can be applied being 50,000 yuan.
It is open to applications from small, medium and micro technology enterprises registered, taxed, and unified in the BDA
With these coupons, enterprises can purchase professional technical services, such as testing and certification, small testing and pilot testing, technology transfer, intellectual property rights, research and consulting in pilot test bases, and public technical service platforms identified by the BDA.
