Firefighters from the Fire Rescue Detachment of the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area (BDA) recently went to the Keqi Child Care Center to teach children an immersive safety class.

The firefighters, decked out in blue uniforms, used cartoons and nursery rhymes to teach the children about fire safety, including how to protect themselves and others in case of a fire.

The firefighters also took the kids out to their playground to do some practical training. The school's teachers were taught how to use fire extinguishers, even putting out real fires to the applause of their students.

The students gave gloves to the firefighters at the end of the activity and thanked them for the lesson.
