March 3, 2022 is China's 23rd National Ear Care Day. To provide better hearing health protection for residents in the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area (BDA), the otolaryngology department of the Rehabilitation Hospital Affiliated to the National Research Center for Rehabilitation Technical Aids will start offering free hearing exams for residents aged 55 and above on the same day.

The exams will be available from 1:30 to 4:30 pm on weekdays from March 1 to 18.

The free treatment will include an ear examination (electrical otoscopy) and hearing tests (pure tone audiometry).

It should be noted that if patients are found to be suffering from hearing-related illnesses or need to supplement other examinations due to illness, they need to register and pay the corresponding fees. 

Those participating in the exams must make an appointment in advance through the department's telephone or WeChat, with a limit of five members per day. Residents in need can call 58122407 for consultation and make an appointment in advance.
