The Beijing E-Town Spatial Digital Planning Laboratory has been officially inaugurated in the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area (BDA). The laboratory is the first of its kind in Beijing.
The laboratory will focus on a series of scientific research topics and practical projects, such as the Beijing E-Town Block Guidance Planning Monitoring and Analysis Platform, the Research and Design Platform for Standard Site Selection Decisions, and the Digital Virtual Planning Exhibition Hall.
The lab aims to provide intelligent technical support for promoting high-quality land and space planning, urban construction, and urban operation management of Beijing E-Town, as well as improving the area's level of refined urban governance.

In the near future, the laboratory will focus on building a database for the territorial and spatial planning of Beijing E-Town, integrating the existing data resources of the BDA, and promoting the convergence of territorial and spatial planning data in the area to carry out data governance.
Currently, the laboratory is actively promoting relevant work and the Beijing E-Town indicator management and control analysis platform is scheduled to be put into trial operation in April.
In the future, the laboratory will better support urban development based on digital technologies.
