Three-hundred meters northwest of the intersection of Kechuang Street and Jinghai 3rd Road in Beijing E-Town, a 500-year-old Chinese scholar tree can be found standing in the middle of the road.
Around it, industry-leading companies, including BOE, ABB, Bosch Rexroth, BAIC New Energy, and Xiaomi, are booming.

This Chinese scholar tree is a national first-class ancient tree. Standing at a height of 9 meters, it has been here since the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and is a precious living cultural relic.
When planning the development of Kechuang Street, Beijing E-Town had to consider the protection of this ancient tree and its centuries of history, ultimately adopting a detour construction plan to create an arc-shaped green island for the tree.
For many residents, this scholar tree has become a symbol of good luck, auspiciousness and beauty.
Many residents pray under the ancient tree on special festivals, tie red rope and ribbons onto the tree, and pray for blessings.
