The Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology released on October 2022 a list of innovative small and medium-sized enterprises in the capital.  

Sixty-one companies from Beijing E-Town were on the list, covering four leading and emerging industries.

Innovative SMEs have a high level of specialization, strong innovation ability and development potential. The bureau organizes the departments of small and medium-sized enterprises in various districts to be selected in a way that they are evaluated monthly.

In recent years, SMEs have originated from favorable industrial environment of the BDA and have grown rapidly. The fields of the selected enterprises  are in commercial aerospace, energy conservation and environmental protection. 

Nearly 20 companies in the fields of biomedicine and big health made it to the list, covering areas such as medicine, equipment, and health care.

As of now, there are 119 innovative SMEs in Beijing E-Town.
