Beijing E-Town launches dialogue activities with foreign-funded enterprises
Zheng Haitao, deputy director of the Beijing E-Town Administrative Committee, met with Pierre-Yves Guidi, global operations director of B.E.A Electronics (Beijing) Co, via video link on Jan 17, which is one of a series of dialogue activities between Beijing E-Town and the headquarters of foreign-funded enterprises in 2023.
Zheng first introduced the industrial development of Beijing E-Town and related supporting policies for enterprises.
Beijing E-Town, as the main front of high-tech industries, registered a total industrial output value of 537.12 billion yuan ($79.17 billion) in 2022, accounting for 22 percent of the city's total, and its per capita GDP is eight times that of the city. There are nearly 2,000 high-tech enterprises in the zone, the number of invention patents per 10,000 people in the area is at the forefront of Beijing, and the innovation ecology here is also sound, according to Zheng
After listening to the current operation situation, product introduction and future development plan of the BEA, Zheng invited Pierre-Yves Guidi to Beijing E-Town to experience the business environment and services of the area, and to lay the foundation for the next round of cooperation.
Pierre-Yves Guidi thanked Beijing E-Town for its support and assistance to enterprises in terms of epidemic prevention and control and overall economic and social development, and promised to continue to invest and develop in Beijing E-Town, as well as to transfer new technologies and new products to Beijing, and expressed the intention to further expand the production line.
In 2023, Beijing E-Town will hold a series of video dialogues for foreign-funded enterprises in the area to introduce the policies, industries and business environment of Beijing E-Town, boost the investment confidence of foreign-funded enterprises and learn about the future concerns, development plans, and investment layout of these companies.
