Beijing E-Town held the global "Innovative Medicine by Intelligent Manufacture" Partner Conference on Feb 14, where it announced it would accelerate the construction of a global highland of innovative medicine with intelligent manufacturing. It also unveiled plans to promote the integration of life sciences and intelligence and help reform medical and health systems.

At the meeting, Beijing E-Town released its action plans leading to the intelligent manufacturing of new medicines from 2023 to 2025, and supporting policies for related industries.

According to the latest action plan, by 2025, the scale of biomedicine and health industry in Beijing E-Town will exceed 200 billion yuan ($29.09 billion). The  total number of companies above designated size will go beyond 120, and the number of listed companies will rise above 30. 

In the field of cell and gene therapy, high-end Innovative breakthroughs have been made in frontier tracks such as intelligent manufacturing of medical equipment. More than 100 new medicines, Class II and Class III medical device products have been declared for listing.

To implement the action plan, Beijing E-Town has established a 1+N policy system. "1" is a universal policy for the biomedicine and health industry, and 'N" is a special policy for subdivided tracks. 

At this conference, special policies for the two key tracks of cell gene therapy and high-end medical equipment were released for the first time. 

Universal and special policies are complementary to each other, and those who meet the application requirements can enjoy them at the same time, according to industry leaders.

In terms of cashing methods, the "online acceptance, one-stop processing, and time-limited processing" model is implemented, and so is the "free and instant application" model.

Beijing E-Town also announced that it would host a world-class influential event this year -- the Boao Forum for Asia Health Industry International Forum -- organize industry experts into roundtable forums, and sign a series of contracts with 22 companies.
