The series of achievements released during the global "Innovative Medicine by Intelligent Manufacture" Partner Conference is still hot, and the National New Energy Vehicle Technology Innovation Center, the first national technology innovation center in the automotive industry, has presented a five-year answer to the industry's bottleneck problem. Two invisible champion enterprises have been awarded certificates. 

20, 700 and 600 are numbers showing that Beijing E-Town is moving forward fast on the journey of innovation.

Over 20 innovation centers

Beijing E-Town, focusing on key issues of industrial demand, has built over 20 innovation centers, creating an innovative ecological rainforest to improve the efficiency from the laboratory to industrialization.

How to achieve accurate and fast navigation in subway stations with poor signals? At the beginning of this year, a new achievement in "smart subway" development, in which companies from Beijing E-Town participated in research and development, entered the joint debugging and testing phase.

During the past five years, the NEVC has undertaken 27 major national and local projects, realizing many domestic and international technological innovations, and the National Innovation Center of Intelligent and Connected Vehicles has established 22 laboratories and one trial production center, with complete technical testing and verification capabilities.

To date, Beijing E-Town is home to 416 recognized R&D institutions and seven foreign-funded R&D centers.

Over 700 projects from three science cities 

Over the past year and a half, the commercialization process of the UWB digital key for contactless car ignition by TsingCar has been on a fast train. The company has not only obtained tens of millions of yuan in financing but has also completed construction of the first phase of its factory and entered the trial production stage.

Regarding this, Zhang Qian said, "We did make the right decision. The intelligent networked automobile industry ecology in the Economic Development Zone, as well as policies such as investment and financing, and factory subsidies, have all accelerated our progress from technology research and development to achieving results."

Taking the "three science cities and one hi-tech area" platform as the starting point, Beijing E-Town is building an internationally influential technology transfer and transformation area. As of now, the area has implemented over 700 projects from three science cities including more than 700 "Three City" projects.

Over 600 specialized, sophisticated enterprises

With the growth of an increasing number of specialized and sophisticated enterprises Beijing E-Town has so far attracted and nurtured 85 national specialized and sophisticated "little giant" companies, 562 Beijing specialized and sophisticated SMEs, and 201 innovative SMEs.

One example of this success is WeMed, which has grown into a "little giant" company in the field of domestic interventional diagnosis and treatment equipment since its establishment in Beijing E-Town in 2014.
