The 2023 National Science and Technology Innovation Top 100 Index Report was released recently in Beijing, revealing the Top 500 National Science and Technology Innovation Companies, the Top 50 National Science and Technology Innovation Universities, and the Top 50 National Science and Technology Innovation Research Institutions.

Nine companies from Beijing E-Town were listed among the Top 500 National Science and Technology Innovation Companies, with one ranking in the top 50 and six ranking in the top 200.

This is the fifth consecutive year of the release of the report. 

The report focuses on micro-innovation companies, universities, and research institutions. It referred to official data from the Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Ministry of Education and other institutions as well as data from industry associations. 

Since its establishment, Beijing JD Century Trade Co has continuously upgraded its technological innovation capabilities with support from investment companies such as Today Capital, Bull Capital, DST of Russia, and Tiger Fund. 

In the recently published Top 500 National Science and Technology Innovation Companies list, JD ranks 32nd. 

AVIC Electromechanical Systems Co ranks 105th among the Top 500 National Science and Technology Innovation Companies. It  operates in the aviation electromechanical industry and develops related systems based on core aviation technologies, dedicated to providing systems solutions for defense and civilian purposes. 

According to the analysis, among the Top 500 companies list, Beijing has a total of 112 companies, ranking first among all cities. 

The number of patents granted to these companies has been increasing year by year. In the past three years alone, there have been 84,000 PCT patent applications, which has played a leading role in encouraging domestic innovation entities to participate in global competition. 

In terms of capital, 91 percent of the registered companies have capital exceeding 100 million yuan ($14 million), indicating that sufficient financial support is an important guarantee for technological innovation.

As one of the four leading industries, robotics and intelligent manufacturing have always been a key focus and development direction in Beijing E-Town. 

The robotics and intelligent manufacturing industry has shown a prominent trend of innovative development in recent years, giving rise to leading companies. The industry's output value achieved double-digit growth compared to the previous year.
