The Top 10 Cutting-edge Technologies in Robotics for 2023-2024 were announced during the ceremony. The event also revealed records from the BCI Brain-Controlled Robot Competition, awards for the best student papers and conference papers, the top 10 rising innovators in investment and entrepreneurship, and the top 5 most popular short videos.
The China Electronics Society organized renowned universities, research institutions, and key enterprises to conduct in-depth research and discussions, culminating in the identification of the Top 10 Cutting-edge Technologies in Robotics for 2023-2024.
The 2023 World Robot Conference gave rise to new records in brain-controlled typing and brain-controlled drone racing. Chen Yuzhen from Tsinghua University achieved a typing speed of 1.43 characters per second, while Jiang Hanzhe from Tianjin University achieved a speed of 10.399 bits per minute. Chen's brain-controlled typing speed is now approaching the speed of touchscreen typing.
The closing ceremony also featured announcements for the best student papers and conference papers, "rising stars" in venture capital, and the top 5 most popular short videos.

Focusing on the forefront of technological trends, the conference attracted representatives from 25 international robotics organizations. The event brought together more than 320 industry-renowned guests, including Turing Award winners, members of prestigious academies, notable experts, and entrepreneurs.
Furthermore, this edition of the expo introduced a comprehensive "Robot+" application demonstration mode throughout the entire venue. Nearly 600 exhibits were showcased at the conference, highlighting core components such as reducers and controllers, which focused on presenting the research achievements upstream and downstream in the industry chain.

The 50th-anniversary exhibition of brain-machine interfaces illustrated the development journey from scientific research and validation to practical exploration. Over 160 domestic and international enterprises and research institutions participated, with 40 companies including Xiaomi and Yamaha Motor making their debut this year.
The conference also established a competitive arena to gather talent. The World Robot Contest attracted participants from over 20 countries and regions worldwide, with the total number of participants exceeding 100,000 for the first time in a year. The competition saw more than 4,000 participants competing on site each day, which is 2.5 times the number from the previous year.
