During the first International Biomedical Industry Innovation Conference Beijing Forum (IBIIC · BJF), over 20 representatives from Japan, South Korea, and various parts of China visited Beijing E-Town on Sept 12. 

They toured the E-Business Valley, the E-Town Impression Exhibition Hall in Boda Building, and the  Biopharmaceutical Park. They also had the opportunity to experience a ride on a self-driving bus.

Upon entering the E-Business Valley, the new offices of the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA)'s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, Food and Drug Verification Center were prominently featured. 

"We feel that services are close to businesses." said Xu Ping, president of a pharmaceutical company, remarked,

For biopharmaceutical companies, regulatory review is a critical milestone in industry entry. Currently, three of the six centers of the NMPA have completed their relocation, and the remaining three are scheduled to transfer next year.

Sitting in a self-driving bus, delegates marveled at the vehicle that was already on the road without a steering wheel and driver's seat, turning science fiction into reality.

At the E-Town Impression Exhibition Hall in the Boda Building, as the large screen displaying images slowly opened, there were exclamations of "wow" from the visiting representatives. 

The exhibition hall featured technology utilizing 5G+8K. Here, the guests learned about the construction stories, development history, and future plans of Beijing E-Town. 

Within the scope of E-Town New Area, there are more than 4,200 companies engaged in the biotechnology and health, covering all key aspects of the entire industry chain.

At the Beijing E-Town Biopharmaceutical Park, visitors toured the park's public technology service platforms up close. 

The park has established five major platforms, including a biopharmaceutical testing technology service platform and a biopharmaceutical process development service platform. These platforms can assist in achieving a service support structure that allows scientists to take an idea from the laboratory exploration stage all the way to phase II clinical trials when they arrive at the park.

"Through today's visit, I have a deeper appreciation for the enthusiasm and achievements of China in biopharmaceutical research and development. I have gained a lot from this experience," said Shogo Nakamori, a renowned Japanese pharmaceutical expert. 

Hiroshi Saito, consultant to Daiichi Sankyo, also stated, "I believe there are many opportunities for collaboration between Chinese and Japanese pharmaceutical companies, and I hope to provide more new medicines for the people of both countries soon."
