Giuseppe Verdi's opera 'La Traviata' to be staged in Beijing E-Town
To enrich the cultural lives of its residents, Beijing E-Town has collaborated with the National Centre for the Performing Arts to bring high-quality and high-standard artistic performances to the economic-technological development area.
Giuseppe Verdi's opera "La Traviata" produced by the National Centre for the Performing Arts will be broadcast on the Beijing E-Town WeChat Video Channel at 19:30 on Dec 2.
Renowned vocalists Ekaterina Bakanova, Shi Yijie, and Liao Changyong, alongside the NCPA's Resident Singer will gather on stage.
Under the baton of Yu Long, they will collectively perform classic arias such as "Libiamo ne' lieti calici" ("The Drinking Song"), "Sempre libera" ("Always free"), "Addio del passato" ("Farewell to happy dreams of long ago") among others, delivering a deeply emotional interpretation of a poignant love story through the NCPA Chorus and NCPA Orchestra.
The oil-painting-like visuals will recreate the bustling scenes of 19th-century Paris within a 264-square-meter mirrored backdrop, presenting a magnificent and picturesque journey within the painting.
