First 'Foreign Diplomats Experiencing Beijing' event held in E-Town
The first "Foreign Diplomats Experiencing Beijing" event was successfully held in Beijing E-Town on March 28.
Forty-one diplomats from 23 countries, including Ethiopia, the United States, Germany, Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, South Africa, and Cuba, attended the event.

Diplomats rode unmanned autonomous vehicles from the headquarters of JD.com, traveling 5.2 kilometers to reach the Innovation Operation Center in Beijing High-Level Autonomous Driving Demonstration Zone.

Ethiopian Ambassador, Imam, and other envoys expressed their astonishment at the rapid development of unmanned autonomous vehicles in Beijing through this test ride.
At the JD.com's headquarters, diplomats carefully observed the operation of JD, Asia's No.1 fully automated logistics center, understood JD's logistics supported by innovation and technology, and learned in detail about the most popular foreign brands and sales on JD.com.
The diplomats highly praised the business environment in Beijing and admired the innovation capabilities of enterprises.

Beijing E-Town has over 80,000 enterprises with a planned area of 225 square kilometers, contributing nearly 30 percent of the city's industrial added value using only 0.35 percent of Beijing's real estate.

Five technology innovation enterprises were selected to introduce cooperation projects to diplomats: Pony.ai, Soft Robot Tech Co, WeMed Medical Equipment Co, GE Healthcare China, and Huilongsen International Business Incubator (Beijing) Co.
Many diplomats were highly impressed by the event.
Some embassies have initiated contact and coordination with the enterprises.
There is great potential for mutually beneficial cooperation between China and foreign countries, and it is hoped that more economic, technological, cultural, and other types of exchange activities can be pursued in the future.
