Nearly 100,000 Chinese roses bloom here
"This yellow Chinese rose is called 'Celebration', and that one is called 'Red Rose'..." Recently, nearly 100,000 roses have started to bloom in the Nanhaizi Park, attracting numerous citizens visitors to enjoy the flowers. Staff from Beijing Nanhaizi Investment Management Co have been meticulously maintaineding the rose fields and been patiently answering questions from visitors about the plants.
The Chinese Rose Garden (Special Varieties Exhibition Area) is located in Nanyou Garden of the Nanhaizi Park (formerly Phase I).

Upon entering the park through the east gate, a 300-square-meter sea of flowers comes into view, with a rich fragrance greeting visitors. This is the world of large-flowered Chinese roses.
According to statistics, the rose planting area in Nanhaizi Park now covers 11,038 square meters, featuring large-flowered Chinese roses, miniature ones, floribunda roses, and other ground-planted roses, including varieties like Celebration, Anthem, and Scarlet Fan.
These are mainly concentrated in three areas: the special varieties exhibition area near the park's east gate, the thematic exhibition area around the Ssundial Ssquare, and the citizen experience area.
Visitors can enter through the east gate and enjoy different types of roses while strolling along the main path.
Chinese Roses, known as the "queen of flowers," are also the city flower of Beijing, symbolizing beauty, friendship, and peace. Their blooming season starts in April and lasts until October.
