'E-Town Intelligence' develops computing brains for 90 percent of Chinese automakers

Beijing SemiDrive Technology Corp, a "unicorn" enterprise,- primarily focuses on developing automotive-grade chip products and solutions for smart cockpits and intelligent vehicle control systems.

Chen Shujie, vice-president of SemiDrive Technology, said, "Since our establishment in 2018, SemiDrive has shipped over 5 million units of our full series products, secured over 200 designated projects, and served more than 90 percent of Chinese automakers as well as some major international car manufacturers."

Earlier this year, SemiDrive Technology officially opened its global headquarters in Beijing E-Town. 

"Beijing E-Town has a well-established, intelligent, connected vehicle industry ecosystem and abundant industrial resources, including automakers like Beijing Benz and Xiaomi Motors, as well as related supporting enterprises in the industrial chain. We have already reached cooperation agreements with many upstream and downstream enterprises in the area." Chen said.

SemiDrive is one of the earliest chip companies worldwide to release a complete central computing architecture solution.

Within just over a year of its founding, SemiDrive became the first Chinese chip company to receive the German TÜV Rheinland ISO 26262 ASIL D functional safety process certification, the highest level of international authoritative certification. 

Subsequently, it also received AEC-Q100 Grade 1/Grade 2 reliability certifications, German TÜV Rheinland ISO 26262 ASIL B/ASIL D functional safety product certifications, ISO/SAE 21434 automotive cybersecurity management system certification, and dual certifications for national cryptographic information security issued by the State Cryptography Administration, among others.

To date, SemiDrive has independently designed its core intellectual property and holds over 240 independent IP rights globally, covering key core technologies for automotive-grade processors.
