Beijing E-Town reveals plans for comprehensive AI city
Plans for an AI city in the heart of Beijing were revealed at the national Information Technology Application Innovation Park close to Tongming Lake on June 29.
At the Beijing E-Town Comprehensive AI City Innovation Release Conference, the top 10 AI application scenarios and implementation results for the E-Town were released, while the Yizhi Government Model Service Platform was also launched. In addition, the Beijing AI Application Scenario Research Institute and the Beijing AI Original Industry Acceleration Platform were inaugurated.
It was Kong Lei, director of the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area administrative committee, who unveiled the construction plans for the E-Town Comprehensive AI City at the conference.
Beijing E-Town aims to create an AI City by integrating artificial intelligence with the development of E-Town New Area, as well as upgrading and transforming industries.
During the conference, the first batch of benchmark demonstration application scenarios for AI, carefully selected with the guidance of municipal departments, were unveiled.
The scenarios cover 10 areas: healthcare, transport, automobile cockpits, humanoid robots, new retail, government services, industrial design, pharmaceutical research and development, energy conservation and carbon reduction, and news media.

Also on the day, the Beijing AI Application Scenario Research Institute and the Beijing AI Core Industry Acceleration Platform were inaugurated and will soon be operational, providing robust support for accelerating the aggregation of the AI industry.
