Recently, the Ethiopian Embassy delegation in China visited the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (Beijing E-Town) to tour the Innovative Operations Center of Beijing's High-Level Autonomous Driving Demonstration Zone and UBTECH ROBOTICS CORP LTD for exchanges.
In the exhibition hall of the Innovative Operations Center, the delegation gained a comprehensive understanding of "E-Town Exploration" in autonomous driving. During the visit, the delegates' interest was piqued by the diverse display formats, including intuitive data from panoramic videos, imagery demonstrations with sand tables, and remote control simulations in driving cabins.
Currently, relying on the coordinated development of the "Vehicle-Road-Cloud-Internet-Map" five-system framework, Beijing's High-Level Autonomous Driving Demonstration Zone is expanding into the surrounding 100-squarekilometer area, with plans to gradually cover the city’s entire 600 square kilometers. Simultaneously, it is continuing to collaborate with multiple companies in the field of autonomous driving, jointly providing convenient services for smart transportation.
In UBTECH, the delegation was impressed with the humanoid robot "Walker X", which performed tasks such as greeting, shaking hands and practicing tai chi upon command.
UBTECH, which is established in Beijing E-Town, engages in the research, sales and production of humanoid robots. The company now has over 2,100 robotic and artificial intelligence-related patents, including 400 international patents. While continuing to strengthen its technological research, the company is advancing the commercialization of humanoid robots.
