Over 20 types of humanoid robots to be on display at 2024 World Robot Conference
More than 20 types of humanoid robots will be exhibited at the upcoming 2024 World Robot Conference that will be held in Beijing from Aug 21.
This year's conference will attract more than 416 guests from both home and abroad and will hold an exhibition that will bring together 169 global companies, including ABB, Tesla, Kuka and SMC.
For the first time, the exhibition will set up a cutting-edge innovation area, where some universities and research institutes will showcase a number of advanced innovation research momentums such as six-legged guide robots and flying robots.
"Currently, new technologies, products and formats represented by humanoid robots and general artificial intelligence are thriving and becoming the pinnacle of global technological innovation, a new track for future industries and a new engine for economic growth," said Xu Xiaolan, former vice-minister of industry and information technology and a member of the Standing Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference National Committee.
"Humanoid robots are expected to become another disruptive product after computers, smart phones and new energy vehicles," she said.
