China's first licensed AI catering robot born in Beijing E-Town
The number 001 licensed AI catering robot was recently put into service in Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (Beijing E-Town).
At the beginning of this year, Joybing Robot (Beijing) Co., Ltd. decided to settle its new of AI catering robot product in Beijing E-Town.
The robot-business enterprise using automated equipment for food production and sales is a new format in the catering industry. Previously, there were no operating permits or management methods for this format. Beijing E-Town has closely focused on institutional innovation to promote the development of the robotics industry. Its eight departments have jointly discussed the establishment of enterprise standardization documents, food safety management, operational cooperation models, supply chain selection and environmental testing. Ultimately, Beijing E-Town supported the Joybing Robot in obtaining the first national license for making hot food using automated equipment in July.
Beijing E-Town has also established a platform for connecting supply and demand for enterprises. With 16 events held, the platform has facilitated connections between 26 companies, four industrial parks and three public parks, providing strong support for Joybing Robot to launch its AI product.
"It took us eight years, over 2,000 original drawings, 108 intellectual property applications and nearly 10,000 components to create this AI catering robot, achieving production efficiency close to that of skilled human labor. At a critical moment, it was the 'E-Town speed' that helped us to launch our product. This year, our order volume has exceeded 10,000, with expectations to deliver over 500 units within the year. Going forward, we will increase our investment based on market feedback, training hot food robots to make them more intelligent and precise," said Yu Qinwei, general manager of Joybing Robot.
