Beijing E-Town once again leads with a 'global first'
During the 2024 World Robot Conference held on August 22, Beijing AMIT Medical Science and Technology Co., Ltd. (AMIT) based in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (Beijing E-Town) launched the world's first puncture intervention surgical navigation robot based on multimodal medical image fusion, the Jupiter Intelligent Soft Tissue Puncture Intervention Navigation Surgical Robot (referred to as Jupiter).
Jupiter is mainly used for minimally invasive percutaneous intervention ablation surgery for liver cancer. It can achieve automatic integration of preoperative planning and intraoperative navigation, providing a full-process intelligent solution for puncture and ablation treatment, helping doctors accurately locate lesions and make precise punctures. This is of great significance for patients with primary, recurrent and metastatic liver cancer.
Regarding the software, Jupiter is equipped with a preoperative planning system, multimodal image fusion system, medical image intelligent recognition system and treatment target active search system, achieving fully automatic real-time multimodal image fusion. As for the hardware, Jupiter is equipped with a 7-degree-of-freedom force-controlled robotic arm system and an adaptive puncture guidance front-end system, achieving autonomous safe planning of the puncture path.
AMIT, a "homegrown" enterprise in Beijing E-Town, is a global leader in intelligent medical robot systems, instruments and comprehensive intelligent medical solutions providers. It is committed to redefining the medical experience with AI and robotic technology, creating a specialized system platform in the field of ultrasound-guided therapy.
