Bitzer China R&D Building

The Bitzer China R&D Building, located in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (Beijing E-Town), was put into use on Sept 20.

The building will serve as the test site of up to 1,000 compressors per year.

"The opening of this R&D building will prepare us for the next-generation screw spiral compressor production line," said Rainer Grosse-Kracht, Bitzer’s chief technology officer.

To meet the demands of the Chinese market, Bitzer China has added a spiral compressor production line to its initial four production lines. The opening of the R&D building will further enhance the company's local research and development capabilities in China, ensuring that Bitzer compressor research and design meet the requirements of national and corporate standards, as well as blueprint designs.

The R&D building is mainly used for conducting experimental verification of the performance, reliability, and other parameters of refrigeration compressors in the research and development process at Bitzer. Based on the test data, Bitzer China R&D team will refine and optimize the refrigeration compressor research and development design.

"The newly built R&D building of Bitzer will not only enhance the company's research and testing capabilities in the field of scroll compressors, but also inject new vitality into the innovation of Beijing E-Town," said a leading official of the Robot and Intelligent Manufacturing Industry Bureau of Beijing E-Town.

"We look forward to Bitzer China leveraging the new research and development platform to develop more internationally competitive innovative products. We will also continue our good cooperation with Bitzer China to jointly promote technological innovation and industrial upgrading," the official noted.
