The 2024 "Southeast of the Capital" Exhibition of Technological Innovation and Industrial Design Achievements opened in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (Beijing E-Town) on Oct 19.

Lasting for a month, the exhibition consists of three units, including "enjoy the intelligent future", "boundless creativity", and "integration and co-existence".

The opening chapter of the exhibition – "enjoy the intelligent future" – outlines an intelligent future world for the audience through digital art installations and interactive experiences.

Ma Juncheng, dean and professor of the City Design School at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, said that each chapter in the exhibit is an imagination of future life, each interaction is a dialogue with the future, reflecting not only the infinite possibilities brought by the combination of art and technology but also showing people's yearning and pursuit of a better life.

"Enjoy the intelligent future" features industrial design sculptures like "Wanderer Ranger", industrial design and smart applications showcase of Xiaomi auto, and future car industrial design of IAT cars.

The "boundless creativity" chapter is the result of the collision between intelligence and creativity. Intelligent robots, smart technological products, industrial design products and interactive art installations come together to create a space full of imagination. Exhibited digital art interactive installations like "Paper Kite Roaming", and Bright Vision AR Caption Glasses enable visitors to see, hear and touch the achievements of the fusion of technology and art.

"Integration and co-existence" serves as the final part of the exhibition, directing the viewers' gaze towards the ideal realm of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature. Eco-bionic design works such as "Guardian" and "Energy Image", through the combination of bionic technology and ecological aesthetics, not only showcase the power of technology but also convey humanity's deep concern for the path of sustainable development.

Over the years, Beijing E-Town has been focusing on "technological innovation and cultural empowerment". The "Southeast of the Capital" exhibition is now in its third edition, aiming to showcase the cutting-edge achievements of technological innovation in E-Town through artistic expression, as well as building a platform for cross-border exchange and integration.
