Pony.ai and Emile Weber sign MoU to promote cooperation
Pony.ai has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Emile Weber, a leading mobility company in Luxembourg, to promote the research and deployment of autonomous driving vehicles and technologies in the area.
This marks another milestone for Pony.ai, following the opening of its European R&D center in Luxembourg in September, advancing global commercialization of autonomous driving products.
As a leader in its field, Pony.ai has accumulated nearly 40 million kilometers of autonomous driving road test mileage, laying the foundation for the scalability and unmanned operation of autonomous driving services.
Emile Weber, on the other hand, has significant advantages in European localization and is a leading comprehensive mobility service provider in Luxembourg with over 150 years of operating history. Its main business includes providing public and individual transportation services, taxi operations, vehicle leasing and tourism services.
Pony.ai and Emile Weber have reached a consensus that autonomous driving will play a key role in the future transportation ecosystem in Luxembourg.
Pony.ai has established research and development centers in China, the United States and Europe. At the just-concluded 2024 World Intelligent Connected Vehicles Conference, the company also announced the construction of a global R&D center in Beijing E-Town. With the maturity of L4 autonomous driving technology as well as the Robotaxi and Robotruck business models, Pony.ai is increasing its overseas presence, expanding the successful Chinese experience and solutions globally.
In addition to Luxembourg, Pony.ai is also engaged in autonomous driving technology and deployment collaboration in countries such as South Korea, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
