WeRide, a company based in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (Beijing E-Town) launched the new generation unmanned logistics vehicle Robovan W5 on Feb 6, which can provide stable and reliable fully unmanned delivery services in express delivery, urban distribution and various types of point-to-point logistics.

Leveraging the technical capabilities of the WeRideOne universal autonomous driving technology platform "One Platform Connecting Thousands of Scenarios", WeRide will transfer and empower its nearly 1,900 days and 40 million kilometers of public road operation experience in the Robotaxi field to refine the L4 level autonomous driving capabilities of the Robovan W5 unmanned logistics vehicle.

Robovan W5 is equipped with WeRide's independently developed redundant sensor suite, which can accurately identify vehicles, traffic lights, pedestrians and other traffic, achieving 360-degree no-blind-spot perception and precise sensing 24/7, 365 days a year.

The Robovan W5 unmanned logistics vehicle can utilize an intelligent path optimization system to analyze traffic conditions in real-time, selecting the optimal driving route to avoid congestion and ensure efficient execution of delivery tasks.

Robovan W5 comes standard with multiple safety protection mechanisms, including a redundant wire-controlled chassis, redundant perception, emergency braking system, collision warning system, driving status monitoring, and software cloud control platform. These mechanisms ensure effective avoidance of single-point failure risks in scenarios such as express delivery, urban distribution, and point-to-point logistics, providing robust and reliable safety assurance for every transportation operation.

The vehicle also supports cloud-based intelligent scheduling and management, enabling real-time monitoring of vehicle status and location, optimizing distribution task assignments, and conducting data analysis to continuously enhance operational efficiency.
