The 2nd Beijing Commercial Space High-Quality Development Conference was held at the Tongming Lake Convention and Exhibition Center in the city's Economic-Technological Development Area (Beijing E-Town) on Feb 12.

With the theme of "E-Town Striving, Dreaming of Space," the conference focused on innovation-driven development, application expansion and ecosystem co-construction in the commercial aerospace industry, promoting the implementation of major projects and helping build a globally influential hub for commercial aerospace innovation and development. 

During the event, multiple rocket models were exhibited to showcase the innovative achievements of Beijing E-Town, including Zhuque-2, the world's first successful orbital liquid oxygen methane rocket; Smart Dragon-3, the first commercial rocket to be launched into outer space; Kinetica-1, the only domestically-launched private commercial rocket, which is capable of consistently launching payloads over a ton; and Ceres-1, models of which have been launched into orbit 16 times.

The CZ-8A, developed by the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology and funded by Beijing E-Town's China Rocket company, also made an appearance in the event.

Applications of commercial aerospace in areas such as connected vehicles, 6G, digital China, and the low-altitude economy were also displayed at the conference.

As the core area of the national commercial aerospace industry, Beijing E-Town has already gathered over 160 aerospace companies, with the number of commercial rocket assembly research enterprises accounting for 75 percent of the national total.

In the future, Beijing E-Town will continue to prioritize commercial aerospace as a national strategic task, accelerating the development of key core technologies for commercial rockets and satellites, promoting industrialization, nurturing application scenarios, continuously optimizing the business environment. It will comprehensively layout satellite internet industry projects, dedicated to creating a thriving home for commercial aerospace, striving to establish itself as the main hub for the development of China's commercial aerospace industry and a new landmark for innovation in the global aerospace industry.
