Japanese delegations visit Beijing E-Town to explore new cooperation opportunities
Delegations from the Japan-China Economic Association and the Japan Bank for International Cooperation recently visited the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area (Beijing E-Town) to explore innovative achievements in autonomous driving, new energy vehicles and smart logistics, as well as to seek new opportunities for industrial cooperation.
At the Xiaomi car exhibition hall, members of the delegation were drawn to the Xiaomi SU7. They took a tour of the casting, stamping and body workshops of Xiaomi vehicles. In the spacious and bright workshops, more than 700 robots were working in coordination, providing the delegates with a deeper understanding of the intelligent manufacturing production process of Xiaomi's core components and vehicles.
They also visited the Beijing High-Level Autonomous Driving Demonstration Zone Innovation Operation Center. The delegates took a test ride on an intelligent connected public transport bus, which smoothly completed operations such as straight driving, turning and lane changing without human intervention.
The autonomous driving demonstration zone has issued temporary licenses for road testing to 34 companies, deployed over 900 vehicles, accumulated over 35 million kilometers of test mileage, achieved autonomous driving connections in key scenarios such as Beijing Daxing International Airport, and has established a city-level engineering test platform covering the five major systems of "vehicle, road, cloud, network, and map".
The delegation also visited the Neolix unmanned vehicle smart logistics factory to learn about the development of unmanned delivery vehicles, as well as the implementation of application scenarios.
During the visit, members of the delegation said that China has remarkable achievements in areas such as autonomous driving and intelligent manufacturing. They also praised the proactive layout of Beijing E-Town in building a global innovative industrial ecosystem.
E-Town intends to continue to establish open platforms for exchange, strengthening interactions and collaboration with global partners to facilitate the transformation and application of technological innovation achievements in a broader range of fields.
