On the warehousing side, JD's X Lab uses internet of logistics to ensure orders and picking are carried out to a maximum efficiency.

The company has established an industrial chain in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, often called Jing-Jin-Ji, with a R&D center in Beijing, a robot production center in Tianjin Binhai New Area, and a scale application of unmanned warehouses and robots in Hebei province.

JD has also developed close cooperation with Tsinghua University, Beihang University and Chinese Academy of Sciences to accelerate its research into unmanned robots.
