Over 80 journalists from China and overseas countries gathered in Zhongguancun Science Park, China's equivalent of Silicon Valley, on Oct 18 to experience the country's latest technology.

During the visit to Zhongguancun, journalists learned about the latest technology of LED display, virtual reality (VR), 3D screen and the stage design.

As the primary platform for Beijing's efforts towards building itself into a national science and innovation center, Zhongguancun has been devoted to transferring and industrializing technologies to make them ready for the market.

As reported, Zhongguancun has a strong backup of scientific research institutes, research universities and innovation-oriented enterprises. It has invested in 1,665 projects valued at 38.1 billion yuan ($5.74 billion), expecting to bring an output value of 200 billion yuan.
