Delegation of Korea's NRF visits Zhongguancun
A delegation of 30 South Koreans from the National Research Foundation (NRF) of Korea, a grant organization, visited Zhongguancun Science Park on March 5.
The delegation consisted of mangers from the China-based South Korea Innovation Center, outstanding South Korean IT entrepreneurs and Korean students in China.

The China-based South Korea Innovation Center, a subsidiary of the South Korean Ministry of Science and Technology, supports South Korea's start-ups in entering China's national-level innovation centers.
The visit was mainly aimed at providing a platform for South Koreans to learn and understand the innovative development of Zhongguancun. The delegation inspected Zhongguancun's cutting-edge innovations in 10 areas such as artificial intelligence, big data and information security, new materials, biological health, smart manufacturing, and intelligent transportation.

Innovative products, such as collapsible artificial crystals, Baidu's Apollo ecosystem, and two-wheeled pure electric vehicles, drew lots of attention.
A face-recognition device developed by Shangtang Technology Co Ltd was demonstrated to the delegation.
The NRF was established in 2009 as a merger of the Korea Science and Engineering Foundation, the Korea Research Foundation, and the Korea Foundation for International Cooperation of Science and Technology.
