Xiongan New Area reached a strategic cooperation agreement with the China Development Bank (CDB) and Zhongguancun Science Park's administrative committee in Shijiazhuang, capital city of Hebei province, on April 3, to innovate its investment and financing system.

The three sides will provide open financial services for the development of Xiongan New Area (Zhongguancun) Science Park.

Wang Dongfeng, secretary of the Hebei provincial Party committee, said that the high-quality construction of Xiongan New Area needs a huge amount of capital support and he hopes the CDB and Hebei province will further strengthen cooperation.

The CDB and the Hebei provincial government also talked about in-depth exchanges in key fields, such as support for the 2022 Winter Olympics, air pollution prevention and control, overcapacity resolution, shed reform, and poverty alleviation.

Hu Huaibang, president of the CDB, said that as a development financial institution serving the country's national strategies, the CDB has responsibilities in supporting the planning and construction of Xiongan New Area.
