The 2018 Red Dot Awards announced on April 9 that the winners of the Red Dot Award—Product Design 2018 have been chosen.

Beijing CoClean Tech Co Ltd’s air cleaner – the Knight Ion Tower -- was among the 69 winning entries. Just 1.1 percent of 6,300 innovations provided by companies and designers from 59 countries– received the top award in the competition.

The air cleaner adopts the company's patented negative ion generator and unique dynamic negative ion technologies. It can release 60 million high-activity negative oxygen ions into each cubic centimeter of air, absorbing tiny particles of dust, smoke, pollen and other materials.

Compared to traditional purifiers, the air cleaner offers a high level of purification with mute and active sterilization, and there is never any need to replace the filter.

Only one button controls the whole product and it has limited noise of only 16 dB when working. Users can use WeChat on their mobile phone to control the product, without downloading the APP, to achieve a real-time view of the air quality at home.

Founded in 1995, the Red Dot Award—Product Design is one of the internationally recognized top awards for global industrial design, and is dedicated to building partnerships between winning creative ideas and business.

The award covers topics such as design forums, design and publishing, design trade fairs, design displays, design promotion, and consulting services.
