Zhongguancun, Germany reach deal over AI technology

Zhongguancun-headquartered Artificial Intelligent Technology Center (AITC) founded its European institute -- AITC Europe GmbH -- in Berlin, Germany, and inked a cooperation agreement with the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) on April 11 local time.

AITC Europe GmbH will be the backbone of further cooperation in technological innovation, industrial connection and human resources. Top talents around the world will be able to conduct ground-breaking projects, promote research fruits and boost economic benefits via the platform.

The European branch will also target technological breakthroughs in natural language processing, knowledge-rich AI, smart manufacturing and visual computing.

DFKI, according to the agreement, will share more cutting-edge AI technologies with China in both academic and commercial sectors.

Founded in 1988, DFKI is the leading research center for innovative commercial software technology using artificial intelligence in Germany.

AITC, a Sino-German joint venture and the official representative of DFKI in China aims to empower tech startups, mature enterprises and aspiring talents with an incubation program covering seed funds, AI technologies, professional mentorship, hands-on development and capital connection.
