Youna, Tencent eye smart pathology

Digital pathology leader Youna Technology Co joined hands with internet giant Tencent Holdings Ltd on a medical deal at the 2018 China "Internet Plus" & Digital Economy Summit in Chongqing Municipality on April 12.

The two sides will work together on applying big data and artificial intelligence (AI) to medical diagnosis and pathology research.

The platform will bridge different industries, boost inter-discipline research and blend multiple forces to employ AI technology in digital imaging, auxiliary diagnosis and medical robots.

In July 2017, the State Council of China urged acceleration of innovative applications of artificial intelligence in medical treatment.

In accordance with the initiative, Tencent launched its new generation open platform for medical imaging during the summit.

By virtue of the platform, the newly forged alliance will bring advanced AI technologies to primary hospitals, offering patients more convenient and attentive diagnosis services.

Headquartered in Beijing's Zhongguancun Science Park, Youna Technology is an industry leader in digital pathology, with a complete set of solutions from biopsy to diagnosis.

As two aspiring trailblazers, Youna Technology and Tencent will open a new era of digital pathology.
