The Seventh Beijing World Health Industry Conference and the 23rd China International Health Industry Expo was held at the China International Expo Center in Beijing from April 8 to 10.

The conference was attended by representatives of more than 40 countries and regions, including China, Germany, the United States, Russia, India, Ukraine, Thailand, Albania, Tajikistan, and Gabon.

Zhao Wenxiang, president of the executive committee of the conference, said, "This year's conference is themed on 'Contributing China's wisdom to promote the world's health'."

A most professional gathering of the global health industry, the event aimed to spread the wisdom of Chinese traditional medicine and health science and technology to the world, especially Europe and Africa, and also promote the exchange and development of the world's health industry.

The Research Institute of the World Health Industry Conference was launched during the conference as a key project of the United Nations.

Chairman Huang Mingda said that the Institute was set up to create a cross-border platform of high-end think tanks for medical companies and promote international cooperation in the worldwide health industry.

Transnational cooperation was apparent during the three-day feast as the China Germany Large Health Industry Development Cooperation Union was launched to bridge Chinese traditional medical achievements and Germany's advanced medical technologies.

Gu Kaiyuan, general secretary of the World Health Industry Conference, said, "The China and Africa Big Health Industry Cooperation Foundation was also founded to make China's health wisdom, capital, and expert resources available for the benefit of African people."
