Zhongguancun seeks partnership with Germany on talent training
A seminar themed "Shape the Future: Partnership between China and the EU" was held in Zhongguancun (Haidian) Science Park, the renowned core area of China's Silicon Valley, on April 18.
Attendees of the seminar included officials from the administrative committee of Zhongguancun (Haidian) Science Park, entrepreneurs from high-tech companies in the park, and 33 trainees from the Technische Universität München (TUM).
Marco Daehn, head of the Higher Education Center of TUM, talked about the challenges faced by the globalization of education in terms of electronic teaching (E-teaching), the combination of technology and management courses, and global cooperation and exchange.

Lin Jianhua, deputy director of the park's administrative committee, outlined the economic situation of Haidian district and its talent introduction and cultivation, as well as the development of innovative technologies by local high-tech enterprises.
He noted that the International Talent Community of Zhongguancun Street will create new and varied services for foreign talents such as education and medical care.
Exchanges and communications were focused on economy and culture. The seminar deepened the understanding between Chinese and German representatives in economic development, education and culture, and scientific and technological innovation, and promoted further transnational cooperation between Chinese and German enterprises.
