Thumbs-up for business environment in ZGC
Zhongguancun Science Park (ZGC), known as China's Silicon Valley, organized a seminar to talk about the Beijing municipal government's new favorable polices and the benefits they have brought, local media reported on May 2.
BOE Technology Group Co (BOE), Beijing ZGC Integrated Biotech Limited (iBio Center) and Chinese enterprises incubator Vstartup spoke highly of the motivating changes in procedures for business registration, tax payment, overseas trade, construction approvals and more.
"In the past, traditional business registration normally would take up to 22 days," said Dong Yufeng, deputy general manager of Vstartup, "but now a new-born enterprise can get its digital license in hand via online platforms within five days."
Lyu Jing, an director of BOE, noted that the new policies are enabling enterprises to pay taxes via online platforms, such as the messaging app WeChat and the micro blog Sina Weibo, freeing them from superfluous procedures and troublesome paperwork.
According to Yang Ying, general manager of iBio Center, the new policies also simplified customs clearance steps by employing smart inspection equipment.
"With all the necessary materials, a batch of feed-in goods can go through customs without any delay," Yang said excitedly.
The upgraded customs clearance mechanism will also cut enterprises' costs in both logistics management and manpower deployment, she added.
The administrative committee of ZGC will carry out more detailed measures in terms of quality services, supporting facilities, human resource and achievement transfer to optimize the business-friendly environment in and around Zhongguancun Science Park.
