The nation's leading AI service provider, Unisound, showcased the debut of the world's first AI chip for the IoT (Internet of Things) in Beijing on May 16.
Named UniOne, the home-grown IoT chip adopts self-designed AI instructions, copyrighted signal processors and multiple neural networks.

Resorting to its deep-learning framework, high-performance network and low-power structure, UniOne will connect with cloud platforms to boost the computing efficiency of commonly used chips by over 50 times.
Huang Wei, founder and CEO of Unisound, noted during the release conference that currently there are neither AI-enabled nor IoT-oriented chips available on the market.
"On the basis of detailed investigation and repeated analysis, Unisound drew a blueprint for developing AI chips that apply to IoT as early as 2014," said Huang.

According to Li Xiaohan, director of the UniOne project, Unisound will design customized turn-key solutions suitable for various scenarios like smart homes, voice assistants and vehicle audios.
UniOne will not only expedite the integration of AI technologies and traditional industries, but also be a commanding presence in the global market, breaking the monopoly of developed countries in related domains, stressed Weng Qiwen, deputy head of the Zhongguancun administrative committee.
Unisound also announced during the release conference that it will join hands with e-commerce giant JD and IoV (Internet of Vehicles) operator Ecarx.
Shoulder to shoulder, they will share technology resources to build a business ecosystem covering new retailing, smart homes and the IoV industry.
