WeWork to launch global inno community in Beijing

Zhongguancun-based BEZ Group announced its partnership with the world's largest co-working service provider WeWork to create the first innovative global community in China, local media reported on June 25. With this cooperation, it is hoped that BEZ Group will create more advantageous opportunities for new-born startups headquartered in China.
"The partnership with BEZ Group will speed up our expansion in the Chinese market," said Alan Ai, general manager of WeWork China, "At a rapidly developing speed, China is becoming a hotbed for business, finance and innovation and WeWork can play a positive role in the process."
"WeWork's know-how regarding information technology and operation resources is of great significance to us," noted Gong Xiaoqing, president of BEZ Group.
"Combining the advanced ideas of WeWork with the characteristics of the Chinese market, we can build up a brand-new landmark of China's shared office space which will be available for customers from both home and abroad," he added.
WeWork opened its first location in Shanghai in 2016. To date, it has 10,000 members across 13 offices in Shanghai, Beijing and Hong Kong. By the end of this year, it is estimated that WeWork will have more than 40,000 members across 40 cities in China, and 1 million by the end of 2021.
