Innovation, cooperation see healthy outlook

Zhongguancun Science park, or China's Silicon Valley, is picking up speed in regional coordination and global cooperation, local media reported on Aug 7.
Cross-region innovation network taking shape
Zhongguancun Haidian Science Park has expanded fives sub-parks respectively in Qinhuangdao, Liyang, Qihe, Chifeng and Danjiangkou. In the Inner Mongolia and Xinjiang Uygur autonomous regions, a good many eco-friendly projects supported by Haidian park are boosting local industry innovation and poverty reduction.
Opening-up brings in international resources
In order to seek more cooperation in the global market, Haidian park, for one thing, organized a series of roadshows under the theme of "Global Business Opportunities".
For another, at the 2018 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), enterprises headquartered in Zhongguancun Haidian Science Park showcased their new products and won favor from many potential investors.
Overseas branches speed up tech incubation
Haidian park and Zhongguancun enterprises are working with foreign institutions to set up joint incubators around the world. In Israel, Germany, Canada, France and the US, these incubators are not only open platforms for startup acceleration, but also important centers for technology innovation.
For example, Comet Labs, Lenovo Legend Star's AI incubator in California, has already invested in more than 40 projects concerning four major domains: health care, enterprise service, industry applications and robot technologies.
Legend Star, founded by Legend Holdings in 2008, has accumulated rich resources and experience, with which it provides entrepreneurs with a full range of services featuring "angel investment and in-depth incubation."
Renowned platforms inject new momentum
Famous co-working and community service provider WeWork has joined forces with Zhongguancun Inno Way while Plug and Play, the ultimate innovation platform, has opened its headquarters in Haidian district, bringing together the most promising startups and the world's largest corporations.
