Enterprises headquartered in Beijing's Zhongguancun Science Park are well prepared for the upcoming influences of the US-China trade friction, local media reported on Aug 12.

In order to get potential impacts of the ongoing trade war between China and the United States under control, Zhongguancun Haidian Science Park hold a seminar on July 31 to gather different views and figure out some preventive measures.

Sharing their information and wisdom with each other were enterprise representatives and relevant officials, including Wu Wei, deputy enterprise development director of Haidian Science Park.

After a detailed analysis on the current situation, attending entrepreneurs elaborated on to what extent the trade friction has affected their production and distribution. They also raised their concerns and offered suggestions on relevant policies.

Other heated topics of their discussion included but was not limited to material import, technical support and product ecology.

Experts will conclude the voices and consensuses extracted from the seminar and write a research report for future reference.

This trade friction is not just about trade, which would be easy to fix, but about the geopolitical and economic rise of China. The US, under the Trump administration, feels threatened by China's stellar performance in technology and the tension between the world's two largest economies won't cool off easily.

There may be some seesaw battles for which enterprises involved must be well prepared.
