Wuxi National Hi-tech District delegation visits Huzhu town

Wang Jinjian, Party secretary of Wuxi National Hi-tech District, led a delegation to Huzhu town on Aug 5-7, during the delegation's visit to Haidong in northwestern Qinghai province.

Wuxi has been helping Haidong to eliminate poverty since the end of 2016, officials said.

With a total fund of 503 million yuan ($71.2 million), 160 projects have been carried out to attract investment and employees to Haidong.

Wuxi's Xinwu district established a close relationship with Huzhu town in Haidong in 2017. It has since implemented a number of high-quality projects involving poverty alleviation, culture, education, and medical and health care, amounting to over 4.8 million yuan in total.

With the financial support of Xinwu district signed last month, buildings for training local employees are under construction in Huzhu town. Two kindergartens were also built and will open this autumn, officials said.
