Xinwu district celebrates 70th birthday of PRC

Wuxi Xinwu District People's Government hosted a national flag-raising ceremony in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China on Sept 30.

Held in the morning, over 200 government officials attended the ceremony and stood solemnly while the national anthem was played, looking on as the national flag slowly rose.

Wuxi Xinwu District Party Secretary Wang Jinjian gave a keynote speech afterwards.

He said the government should continue to comply with the people's hearts, respect public opinion, pay attention to the people's feelings and strive for people's livelihoods.

Wang also stressed that all government departments should improve their efficiency and services for the citizens.
