A new kindergarten will be built in the Shuofang sub-district of Wuxi National Hi-tech District, according to the local natural resources and planning bureau on Aug 3.
Located to the west of Tongxiang Road and north of Qiangzhai Road, construction on the kindergarten will start early next year.
The construction area of the kindergarten will reach 12,835 square meters, of which 8,661 sqm are above ground and 4,174 sqm are underground, including outdoor activity venues and an underground parking lot. The teaching building will consist of three floors above ground and one underground floor. A total of 90 parking spaces will be available for motor vehicles and 120 parking spaces will be available for non-motor vehicles.
The kindergarten will be made up of 18 classes with 30 students each, with a total maximum capacity of 540 students.
According to the construction plan, the classrooms will be built to ensure full sunshine exposure. Spaces for passengers and vehicles will be divided to provide a safe environment for children.
In addition, the kindergarten will be designed to incorporate traditional elements of a Jiangnan water town to provide a pleasant space for children and inspire their aesthetic taste.
