A signing ceremony for XREAL's AR optical module headquarters project was held in Wuxi New District on July 27.

The project, with a total investment exceeding 1.5 billion yuan ($208.80 million), will establish a 20,000-square-meter production and research base for AR Birdbath optical modules. The Birdbath technology is a leading solution for consumer-grade AR optical displays, known for its superior display quality, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.

Upon reaching full production, the facility is expected to produce 3.5 million sets of AR glasses optical modules annually, with projected sales surpassing 10 billion yuan.

Founded in 2020, XREAL is a leading consumer electronics and smart manufacturing company specializing in AR glasses and spatial computing terminals. Since establishing its presence in WND, the company has rapidly expanded, becoming a major player in the consumer-grade AR device sector with a 45-percent global market share in 2023.

Wuxi is XREAL's primary production base. XREAL's founder and CEO, Xu Chi, said that the new headquarters will meet large-scale production demands while ensuring high-quality standards. The company aims to integrate resources and seize opportunities to drive the growth of the AR industry.
