During the National Day holiday, shopping malls and tourist attractions in Wuxi New District launched a series of events that significantly boosted local consumer spending.
On Oct 1, Jinglong Plaza in Meicun celebrated its opening, drawing over 100,000 visitors daily and generating over 3 million yuan ($424,699.14) in sales. Bailian Outlets hosted unique performances featuring traditional Chinese musical instruments and parades, contributing to a seven-day sales total of more than 66.57 million yuan, an 8.03 percent year-on-year increase.
Meili Ancient Town organized a variety of engaging activities, including intangible cultural heritage demonstrations, fireworks shows, children's plays, and boat concerts. These events attracted over 1 million visitors during the holiday, with businesses in the town generating more than 20 million yuan in revenue.
Boosted by policies encouraging the trade-in of old appliances for new ones, furniture store Easyhome saw sales exceeding 6.5 million yuan, a 10 percent increase compared to last year. The automotive sector also experienced a surge, with XPeng Motors receiving over 200 orders and Nezha Motors seeing a 150 percent year-on-year increase in orders.

Mid-range restaurants and fast food establishments reported a substantial rise in customer traffic, resulting in a significant boost in revenue during the holiday.
