GE Healthcare to establish China ultrasound headquarters in WND

On Oct 21, GE Healthcare signed a cooperation agreement with Wuxi New District, marking the official launch of its Greater China ultrasound headquarters and advanced medical equipment ecosystem in the district.

Philip Rackliffe, president and CEO of GE Healthcare's Image Guided Therapies, expressed confidence in Wuxi's growth potential and said that this project signifies GE Healthcare's strong commitment to deepening its presence in Wuxi. The company aims to continue enhancing its innovation and research capabilities, increasing regional investment, and better serving patients worldwide, he added.

The new headquarters will include an ultrasound business ecosystem, innovation center, service center, and customer experience center.

GE Healthcare, a global leader in medical technology, pharmaceutical diagnostics, and digital solutions, has been based in WND since 1996. Over the years, Wuxi has become the company's largest global ultrasound center and its most comprehensive production base for clinical diagnostic products. The Wuxi site stands as a shining example of how Chinese manufacturing benefits the world.
