On Dec 16, EliTe Solar held a groundbreaking ceremony for its Egypt project, marking a significant milestone in the company's global strategy. The project is set to enhance Egypt's photovoltaic industry by introducing advanced manufacturing technology, supporting the country's goal of having renewable energy account for 42 percent of its energy production by 2030.

Located in the China-Egypt TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone, the project spans 78,000 square meters and includes a 2GW solar cell production line and a 3GW solar module production line. It is expected to commence full-scale operations by September 2025.

Upon completion, the facility will generate an annual output of 500 million kWh, equivalent to reducing standard coal consumption by 307 million metric tons and CO₂ emissions by an amount comparable to planting 84 million trees.

He praised its state-of-the-art manufacturing capabilities for boosting the competitiveness of Egypt's PV industry and contributing significantly to the nation's Vision 2030 objectives.

In recent years, Egypt has actively pursued green development through initiatives such as establishing green industrial zones, launching a low-carbon hydrogen strategy, and advancing the "Green Canal" program. EliTe Solar's presence is expected to strengthen Egypt's position as a global leader in renewable energy development.

Founded in 2005, EliTe Solar aims to become a leading global PV system supplier. Headquartered in Singapore, the company operates six production bases across Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, and Egypt, showcasing its robust international industrial presence.
