The fifth EURAXESS Science Slam was unveiled
On Dec 13, Jean-Eric Paquet, director general of the Department of Scientific Research and Innovation of the European Union led a delegation to conduct in-depth discussions on China-Europe cooperation on scientific research and innovation in Beijing.
Mr. Paquet also came to Beijing to unveil the fifth science slam of EURAXESS China organized by Zhongguancun Innoway.

The EU has been committed to building different platforms and launching various initiatives to support research collaboration and personnel exchanges among researchers in Europe, China and other countries.
Zhongguancun Innoway, as a national innovation and entrepreneurship highland, attaches great importance to international exchanges and cooperation on innovation and entrepreneurship, and is attracting a growing number of high-quality overseas entrepreneurial projects to Beijing.
Meanwhile, Zhongguancun-French Regional Industrial Innovation Center, China-Italy Innovation Center and other international platforms have been established. And this meeting provides valuable opportunities for both sides to explore new cooperation projects.

During his visit, Mr. Paquet introduced EU's next "Horizon Europe" plan with a budget of around 100 billion euros. He also welcomed China and other international partners to participate in the project.
The plan will be put into operation from 2021 to 2027, which is in line with China's next five-year plan, and the plan will provide boundless opportunities for the cooperation between China and EU.
